HCT=Hematocrit=% of blood that is red cells by volume. HCT of 55 means that my blood is 55% red cells by volume. The high end of the average normal for males is 51. My normal is 41. Anything above that totally screws me up. And medically, my blood orders only allows for a draw once a month. So I have to wait until tomorrow. I tried to get it last week. (yes, I have a period)

I don't have the proper, sterile equipment. Mainly the 18 gauges attached to a bag. The bag is critical to prevent an overdraw. I'd also need specialized, expensive equipment to seal the bags. Disposal fees. Much more. Plus, a self stick is very hard, even more so a sterile draw with an 18 gauge. There's also the safety issues
@Dolmeres: Hm... I can't say I hope you get better, because it's a condition (kinda like my autism, it can't go away), but, I hope you stay in the good zone! (Awkward phrasing, but meh.. XD)
It wasn't stupid at all. I really could do it myself, no problems, if I really wanted to. It actually does make more sense for me to do that. Especially since my place went down the drain. Their sticks are all terrible. How can you be a phlebotomist when you stick that ****ing slow?! This one was worse than the last! I didn't think that was possible. She went soooo slow, and she missed

Speaking of which I'm out of tremor meds because the refills have an expiration date. Like my doctor gets moldy or something...anyway, that'll be the cause of typos and grammatical errors you see. I haven't turned to the dark side, Soltai. I'm just off my meds. Holy ****! If that isn't already on a shirt/bumper stickers, I'm gonna make a fortune!
