Time for another I'm Confused! I'm confused... I was researching some gaming lingo and I came across the term 'boosting'. The term is defined as helping others gain experience or an achievement in a way that's frowned upon in the online gaming community. If you look at my past posts, I offered to do 1v1 regional matched and let newer players take out the COMS first to help them get stronger.

    [Continued] After doing so, I go after them and play like I would normally. Personally, I believe this is boosting, but I honestly have good intentions. What do you guys think I should do?

    That's not boosting. Boosting is making a pact, I win 10 streak, you win 10 streak. Repeat. Your streak is dishonest. There's nothing wrong with letting the other guy sinking COM first before you engage fully.

    Yeah, I wouldn't consider that boosting. It's good target practice, too. Purposely losing or having someone lose to you is boosting.
