Retro Studios and Nintendo announced a few months ago that there would be a Metroid Prime 4. That game will be the first Metroid game since Other M. However many people would rather have Metroid 5 or Other M2. Although Metroid 5 would be nice, tons of people proclaim Other M is a weak entry to the Metroid series. So why would more people want a sequel to a terrible game than a sequel to Prime?

    After all, Metroid Prime was the sub-series that brought the Metroid series back. But people proclaim that Other M ''killed'' the Metroid series. So why would they want a sequel to to a ''series killer?''

    To each their own opinion, I personally liked Other M. I believe that Nintendo stated that they would make BOTH a 'Prime' game and a side scroller. There is no news about another 'Other M' game. (However I'm just going on what I know, there is a chance I don't have all the data.)

    To be frank, I enjoyed Other M more than Prime 3, even though the former had obvious flaws in its story telling and was very linear (though have to blame myself for playing Corruption on "Normal" instead of "Difficult", which killed the challenge for me). I really enjoyed Other M's controls, to be frank. Never thought a 3D game played only with the Wii-Mote could have such precise controls.

    Unless new information has come up that I am unaware of, they only expressed interest in making a new 2D or 3D Metroid game, not confirming that one was actually in the works.
