Now that the ZaciSa's Last Stand patch for Wii U has been out for a few days now, what do you all think of it? How do you feel about the new maps? Like the much more fair nature of the early levels? Let me know in the comments! I am already working on patch 2 of the game. Not only will it bring more Maps and new Bot types for free, will also bring more updates to improve the game experience. One such change is Endless Mode scoring will be reduced since right now it's very easy to get hundreds of millions of points, haha. Framerate issues will be addressed as well, this will help speed up the gamer for the later levels as well as bringing a max Drone bot allowed at once. The option for who to target first (closest, low health, etc) will be brought back (it went away due to a bug).

  • For those of you in Europe, I am working on getting the game out in Europe as soon as I can. Shouldn't be too much longer! :)

  • The 2nd patch should bring at least 2 new maps, maybe even 4. Got a few ideas that will make interesting maps to try out!

  • I bought the game due to price and an update 1 coming. So, I picked it up and love it. I'm loving everything about it. The fact that a great game is getting more support. That makes it even more awesome. Seriously, i'm going to support any game you put out from now on. That's because of how much effort. You're putting into this game.

  • I think the patch helped a lot, but I still feel like the bomber sentry is gimped. But I coud just be using it wrong.

  • Glad to hear framerate issues will be addressed, that as my biggest issue. Still need to be able to see total money during upgrade menus (I play primarily on gamepad). Need to see more advancement in freeze/pause buildings, they don't seem to do anything. Even when upgraded substantially. Finally, aren't these supposed to be universal scores? I'm only getting local scores. Tres boring.

  • Loving the update. The ability to use the stylus/analog to scroll the map is awesome. Thank you for adding to the perfection of Circe, the Asteroid Mine, and my favorite, the Nebula. As always this game is amazing

  • Took me about 7 months for the launch version. Then 1st patch took me about 3 weeks. Currently working on 2nd patch now. Will be a much bigger patch too, so might take a little longer. Some improvements with 2nd patch will include improved graphics for the Bots (when they get large, they get blurry, I remade those graphics and they look so much better now), when you are on the Active Bots tab the TV screen will actually show you which bot is which with a number to help indicate who you are upgrading. Endless mode scoring greatly reduced (so instead of 500 million, you will have 100k/etc). Will include at least 4 new maps. 1 is mostly done now. Includes a few new bot types (will be a good bit different then what is available now). Will try to add online leaderboards/etc in this next patch. Will also work on making frame rate much better, esp when bots are so large. Also plan to tinker with the game balance and fix a few things. Bombers might need to be improved, and already decreased Cloud bot a tiny bit (since they are a bit overpowered currently, but the change will be minor).

  • Paul: Did you also upgrade the "Max Hit" as well? I might fiddle with it some more, I'm sure the default stats for Slow & Freeze could be upped a little bit.

  • I'm not great at the game, but I really like the level variety. I'm so much better/worse on some maps I haven't directly noticed the difficulty change, but did appreciate the lower cost on some bots. Can't wait for next update, it has been neat to see the game develop!

  • If you plan to tweak the Helper, might be cool to have a higher limit to the "max hit". Even if the cost rises drastically after the default 5-6 limit. That way, when we're on upper levels we can see more benefits to raising the range of the Helper.

  • Four new maps, a new bot type and online leaderboards! That's amazing! You're an example of small indie developers working hard and giving your hard work to your audience! And for free! (You are basically the opposite of the developer of The Letter!)

  • Achievements would be a good idea. And for this game, it's just me working at the company and on the game. Also, Europe release is proceeding nicely. So for those of you in Europe and interested in the game (sorry that you can't comment on this) I plan to submit to Europe by end of the month. Currently working on a new patch with more stuff, so want both NA/Europe versions to be the same with all the added content. :)
