    think of it this way. there gonna get you something anyway, if they don't know what you want, they might get you something you won't use. I'd rather my parents get me a 50¢ ramen cup than a 10$ bowl of *gag* cod row spaghetti. of course, they didn't know this, they just knew I liked noodles...guess what never got used?
