I just unlocked the Ice Climbers trophy and it is highly detailed, i guess they were planned to be playable.

    Yep. Sakurai admitted that while the Ice Climbers worked on the Wii U version, the 3DS version couldn't handle the Ice Climbers. Seeing as how the game slightly lags when there are 4 Olimars/Alphs on the field, imagine having 8 ice climbers at the same level of FPS, compared to the pikmins that only have 30 FPS.

    So ive heard, I still dont think its right to cut a unique character so many people played as just because the 3DS couldnt handle it. They should just be in the Wii U version imo.

    In the Japanese version of the game there is a glitch where if two Dr Marios got KOed at the same time ice climber chants would start up.
