Greeting everyone! My name is Brave, one of the developers at Brave Rock Games. We've been reading the comments\messages since the release of Red Riding Hood. Now that we have an Official Mii we can speak to you directly :). I would like to take a moment to respond to several questions users have been asking, so lets get started! 1) Why was this application made and what is it? Well, we're glad you asked. Red Riding Hood was originally created for parents who did not have time to read to their children. We believe reading is fundamentally important to any child's growth. Some children dislike reading due to lack of visuals. We sought to bring visual story telling to these children. We decided to release this starter Visual Novel first on the Wii U to see how the community would accept a Visual Novel. 2) This isn't a game! Correct, this is not a 'game'. It is a digital recreation of Red Riding Hood, to see how the community would respond to a Visual Novel. So far the reaction has been favorable. Reading can help improve grammar and vocabulary, if you do not have this goal there are other non reading 'games' that may suite you better. 3) Will there be more Visual Novels with more options or choices in the story? We wanted to do this initially but felt it was better to hold off to see how users responded to Red Riding Hood. We're happy to see that many younger readers are enjoying this classic tale. Short answer, we would like to create more diverse Visual Novels for kids :D. 4) Isn't the alternate path too dark for children? In general, play testers of the age 5 and up were fine with the darker path. Several of the kids laughed at the Wolf's burping. That being said, you can expect cartoon violence similar to Loony Tunes. If you still feel the darker path is too violent for your child, tell your child not to follow the wolf's advice. In general, its bad to listen strangers (strange wolves ha). These are the original stories read to kids in the 1800s. 5) Fan Art (last but not least) Wow! You all are really talented. We're glad you're enjoying the Visual Novel and we'll responding to each of your drawings soon. :)

  • UPDATE: This Visual Novel will receive an update for television support in late Summer. Thanks to you we have been able to release our second Visual Novel, The Stonecutter. You have shown us that their is a community for Visual Novels on the Wii U :). We listened to your feedback and incorporated them in The Stonecutter. For example, various story paths and endings are part of The Stonecutter. Thanks everyone for your support and votes for the third Visual Novel :D. More information about the third Visual Novel is on The Stonecutter's Miiverse Community :).
