This game looks so amazing and awesome. I would be even happier if Ridley became playable and for Lucas and Wolf to return. Still going to enjoy this game to the maximum regardless of these characters being absent.

Pretty much everything that is in both versions, the Wii U does better than 3DS!

This is definitely more advanced than the typical Classic mode... Will there still be Giant, Metal, and Team battles?

This form is cool, but I wish we could choose the old classic or current, I think it would have been better that way because personnaly, I prefer the "classic" classic.

Rival will probably be terrible on lvl 9, but that's when 2 player comes in handy.

Please add Ice Climbers to smash in the dlc. If you can't make the 2 character thing work you could change so it is Ice climber with Popo as the first color and Nana as the second. You would have to give them a new up special though.

I wonder if they'll consider renaming Classic Mode in the next installment if it evolves more into its own thing.

this looks like a cool (expensive) board game were you move your piece around the board then when you battle someone it turns into a short card fight who ever loses the fight has to give up some of the tokens they bet before the card fight. you can spend those tokens on power ups and items. the person that loses all there characters trophies loses the whole game.

I feel bad, but this might wind up being the top selling wii u game (of this year) but it will still sell bad do to how many people don't have a wii u

They said in the direct that you have to 'survive' so I assume it's time matches...? Which would explain why not all the characters got blown away etc Bowser stays Pikachu goes (to the right). I used to think classic was boring. This should shake things up!

Now it makes sense! One question, though: will you get more rewards if you let the rival get stronger? For all those complaining about more information, Sakurai pretty much just gave us everything we need to know about Smash Wii U right now. He's gotta save SOMETHING for us to find on our own, right? It's best now to just wait for the game & find the secrets ourselves.

Wow. Classic Mode looks better than ever. I am so gonna give this a shot. I even thought that the 3ds version had a great idea too. I can't wait to try out the Wii U version.

I SWEAR THIS ISN'T a complain ! This mode looks awesome but... Isn't it getting a bit too far ? This isn't classic mode anymore . The 3ds versions was already Drasticly different from previous classic modes , but I mean, The whole "stage by stage" idea was still there . Now it's just ... Too different . It's like Neo-classic mode now . I'd really enjoy to see the actual "classic" mode back .

@Sakurai, I think this is great new classic mode, it almost has that tactical rpg type of feeling, plus having 2 players is awsome.

@Joey Actually we can make Nana or Popo use the same recovery. The ice climber you're not playing as will appear out of nowhere and help you recover! Common, look at Sonic's recovery. If his spring can do it, why can't Nana/Popo do it?

As interesting and fun as this looks, I don't think this should've been classic mode. I think it would have been better if the Classic mode set-up from Brawl and Melee was used, and this was a different mode altogether, but this still looks fun! It's just odd that Classic mode is so different than what it used to be

It's important that games with WiFi release the same day in both the PAL Regions and North America, and if we were you, we'd Change the Release Date of the Wii U Version in the PAL Regions to Novemner 21st/22nd like North America. It's easier to release the game then.
