Why are there any clones now? If they INSIST on making alt. moves, equipment, and alt. costumes, then what is the point of having clones anymore? This is why I HATE it when people argue that it would take longer for the game to be released if they made clones unique. Yeah, but clearly they could do it, BECAUSE THEY MADE THREE MOVESETS FOR EVERY CHARACTER!

And if they MUST make alt. moves, then why are they so bland? Palutena and the Miis are the only ones with variety in their alts, so why don't Pit and Dark Pit use different Arms from Uprising, why doesn't Kirby use different Copy Abilities, why don't Mario and Luigi have different powerups, why doesn't Villager use different tools, why don't the Pokémon have different moves, and why are Megaman's

alts ALL THE SAME?! There are so many Robot Masters, so why did they only use the ones with the exact same powers?!

I just wish the rest of the stages would be "remastered in HD." The rest of the Brawl stages look untouched.

Love the new details. Always been a fan of the small things in games, makes things more unique and interesting. Oh, and finally got to comment, lol.

Jax, Hyper bomb is explosive on contact, Ice slasher freezes stuff, shadow blade is a boomerang, the barriers differ in use, the recovery moves differ in damage and height, and the alt. moves are supposed to make a slight alteration to the character's moveset, not completely change the way the character plays.

This looks gorgeous in HD.

stages i want in: hyrule temple (ssb64), pokefloats, bowser`s castle, sonic generations, station square, planetarium, credits (super mario galaxy), menu(ssb4), rainbow road, another DK arcade level, house (an original ssb stage) and that island from wind waker

Melee is my favorite Smash game! Why? Because Pichu's in it, of course! Speaking of Pichu, wouldn't it be great if he was added as a fully playable DLC character? Only you can make that happen, Mr. Sakurai! Let's see it!!

Jamieson, I know what his alts are, but if they are gonna make completely different moves for Palutena, it sets a standard for the other characters' alts. Especially considering how Kirby-biased Sakurai is, I'm surprised that he didn't do the same for at least Kirby. Also, why did they make Villager's alt. costumes the dumbest and/or strangest characters that you could make in New Leaf?

@Gabriel: Please don't take this as an insult, but, realistically, Pichu is never coming back... This is not just because I personally don't like Pichu, but just because most people don't like Pichu. If they took out characters that everyone loved like Ice Climbers and Lucas, the chance of widely dispised characters such as Pichu returning are slim.

The "prototypical large stage", eh? I can see why it's called that. This was Melee's, New Pork City was Brawl's, and Palutena's Temple is the Wii U's large battleground. So much fighting space, so little time (unless you play Stock lol).

Commenting has become normal for me now. Strange, huh? Well anyways, I am looking forward to this stage (and the game) and how all of my favorite stages will look from the good ol' days of 64 in HD. My main problem is... well, none! It looks like a beautiful game with a potential higher than most games coming out today.But one last note, it is up to Nintendo on what they will do next. Ciao!

Sakurai, here's some recommended ideas for you that I have! First off, do Wii U exclusive characters, stages, etc. Since you said roster will be shared between versions: link the Wii U with 3DS. Next, start working on an anime/manga and action figure(not amiibos: actual figures) series. Moar DLC and make N64 Smash VC and/or a Melee Wii U remake to be released alongside Smash 5. Thx Sakurai!

Temple is definitely one of my favorite Melee stages. I'm very glad it came back. But the only thing I want out of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is for Pichu to return as a fully playable character. Both games are absolutely AMAZING, but they'd be even BETTER if Pichu came back! Super Smash Bros. just isn't complete without him!!!
