Things the N7 paladin shield can block without taking damage. Geth rocket trooper,I've never tried the heavy melee block but you can light melee the rocket if your timing is good. Atlas,Heavy melee block will protect you from the Atlas's rocket. Geth prime Heavy melee block protects you from his weapon but not the drone or turret. Banshee light melee her warp attack or heavy melee block will do.
