    I know I had trouble too but you're actually suppose to use the ladder. I know right, how dumb is that. It makes more sense to use a raft but you actually use the ladder.

    The stepladder is needed. In the original LoZ for NES, one of the overworld Heart Conainers was found there, which also required the stepladder.
