Is the ending good?

My issue with the 1st game was the ending was a joke, the second game had a play the next game to find out what happens next ending. Does this one finally have a decent ending.

    The ending was pretty meh. A few story threads from VLR are left unsolved, which was rather disappointing. The midgame was cool, two smaller endings really made the game for me.

    no, I would say 999 had the most complete ending. This game will adress some of the things that happen at VLR, but it takes place before, not after.

    I didn't like the ending that much. It seemed that all that happened was useless. They always made better little endings than the true one, I've always preferred other endings than the true one: for example the safe ending and the luna ending were heartbreaking, I've never liked true endings. It seemed they even didn't know how to end the story because it was too complicated for them too
