Marakong part 2: If you can look past some very awkward physics and sometimes cluttered graphics, the first of the portable siblings to the main trilogy is some of the most fun to be had out of the entire Game Boy library, especially because it's the most unique of the lot with plenty of enemies, level archetypes and music that cannot be found in DKC. Hogwash the flying pig anyone?

  • This was my very first game along with Super Mario World back in 1993. I played it on the Super Game Boy for SNES. Well, I was totally bad at this game to say the least. It took me weeks to beat the second level. Anyway, great memories!

  • While I loved DKL3 and thought DKL2 was okay, I wanted to enjoy this game but I can't. Why the pre-rendered, highly detailed graphics worked on the SNES is due to all the colours it could produce as well as being on a bigger TV screen. Here, it doesn't work as the Gameboy screen limitations makes everything blend in with the background making it difficult to see what you're doing.
