Ever notice these walls have coin images on them? The purple ones remind me of the ones you use in Mario Hoops 3-on-3 to power the slots on Jr. Street.

And yes, there were giant slot machines on either side of the court on Jr. Street-even though Bowser Jr. himself is just A KID.
