    I got 1:58 with Mario a While ago! I tried to attempt to beat my old time, and mannaged to cut 2 seconds off of my time and got a New Record of 1:56!

    In hindsight, it would probably be better to use a high speed loadout... depending on the track since speed is divided into three categories. Oh well, that's why I like to check on the mario wiki (not the only place to check) for the hidden stats of the vehicle parts!
