Why can't I reply to some posts?

Just wondering why sometimes the comment button is greyed out and I can't press it. Will it work somehow?

    Did u notice that there is a orange color label as "Open" or gray color label as "Closed" word at the right side here? U can only post comments if the topic is still "Open" for discussion, if it's "Closed", u can't post anything on it. That is the reason why.

    Oh~ you didn't mention clearly on your post so I thought you were saying can't comment in normal "discussion" topic ^^' Hmm Maybe it's the user's Miiverse setting? The 1st option is about "who can comment on your posts?" and the option is: everyone, Wii U friends only, or only users who've played. I'm guessing the user use the either 2 later option, so that's why you can't reply on it.
