【河越#002】ー1968ーこちらが銀栄駅です。隣町を結ぶ松浦鉄道の終着駅、そして川蕨線の始発駅でもあります。もともとは2面2線の駅で1線拡張して松浦鉄道より本数の多い川蕨線の発着を重視した構造を計画してました。しかし見栄を張った松浦鉄道が駄々をこねて2面4線に拡張。その結果役所を潰してしまいました。ちなみに左手に進む川蕨線は手前2線は本線、奥1線が銀栄車両区へと繋がっています。
