    I am aware of "With Knuckles", but this is unfortunately "Without Knuckles".

    It's a function of literal translation from the Japanese. In Japanese, "I am an air traffic controller" is written with only eight characters, so it isn't very long at all. That was the title of the first game in the series that came out 19 years ago. Now there's a bit more added to the titles of these newer versions.
