Team Build Help, Please?

I'm trying to build a strong in-game team, but I'm having trouble finding good members. I have Decidueye and Alolan Ninetales, but that's it. Can someone please help me figure out the rest?

  • For ingame you can use anything you like, it's easy enough that most available pokemon will be usable

  • Not really. If the trials have taught me anything, it's that I need to balance my team to succeed. And that is very difficult with the game's given pokemon. Every game I've played offers a new challenge; and this one is balance.

  • Just having any grass, fire, water, fighting and fairy types is enough for most of the game, the exact pokemon really don't matter as long as you don't use really awful stuff like delibird Just using only Alolan and Alolan form pokemon is enough for getting a balanced team

  • Immediately, I would suggest a fire counter, seeing as Decidueye and A. Ninetales are both weak to Fire. Any Water, Ground, or Rock-type should be good. I'd also suggest a Fire-type as well to deal with Steel-types. I'd personally recommend Salazzle if you're willing to look for a female Salandit. If you decide to use anything else, let me know and I'll try and suggest more.

  • One problem I'm having is working around or with A-Ninetale's Snow Warning, since it hurts everyone. And I guess I'm unsure if she combos with Decidueye at all. I WANT to make Decidueye work, despite what others say. It's just very difficult.

  • Just tossing ideas, but if A-Ninetales doesn't work, I could try Golisopod. I'm interested because it looks Iike an "offensive wall"; being able to can tank moves and bite back is really awesome!

  • I'd recommend it, actually. Sure, you have to be careful around special attacks, but Golisopod's a great team member. If you use it, though, I'd suggest some kind of Flying counter. If you can trade, I'd suggest Electivire. (Will continue).

  • I suggest Electivire because I know Toucannon and its line can learn Brick Break through TM. I'm not sure if any trainers have it, but best to be safe. (Plus I can't remember any other Electric-types.) However, if you do this, I think I'd suggest picking up a special attacker or special tank as well.
