    ポケモン廃人とは… 幅広い世代に人気のあるゲーム｢ポケットモンスター｣。 一見子供向けのゲームであるが、奥深いシステムと無数の戦法・戦術が生み出す絶妙な戦闘バランスは大人が遊ぶのにも十分耐えられる仕様になっている。 ネットが全国を覆いつくし、ネット越しに見知らぬ相手と気軽に対戦できる現在、ポケモンは一種のネットゲームとして認知され、ネトゲの例に漏れずポケモンに一日の大半を費やすユーザが現れ始めた。それがポケモン廃人である。 ちなみに現在、Wi-Fiのランダム対戦は完全に彼らの独壇場であり、メインユーザである（と思われる）小学生が入る隙間は全くないと言ってよい。
