I lost my game case, which had Pokemon Sun. I'm going to be getting Pokemon Sun again. Since I've had the game before, will the data from my old game be transferred?

no unfortunately most data is stored in the actual game not console

If it was a cartridge, no. Each game is saved to the cartridge, not the DS. Only the downloaded versions save to the SD Card.
