I think I found an usage to the map, if you bring an unknown magic to the spot on the map with the map in your inventory, the unknown magic will transform into rainbow the ultimate magic attack. Well maybe you don't need the map in the inventory I'll try without it next.

    Woops I meant second floor of the first level, it is the white keep and is part of tne 1st time you play the game.

    It really worked, thank you so much. That's one mystery of the game that is finally solved. I'm going to try this on the true final boss, well after I beat him with the book in my inventory first to see if anything happened while holding it.

    Yup I know about the interval floors on level 12 16 17 20, yet to test the spot on 18, there is possibly a total of 20 interval levels. 1 2 3 5 7 9 are the 6 portals so maybe there are other secrets hidden at floors 4 6 8 10 11 13 14 15 19 or maybe not, with escape it would take a lot of time to search these and it always seems to be a powerup book X so not worth the effort.

    I forgot about the 1 on the 10th floor that was easy to find, it was the most obvious one too.

    There this is the interval level 12 so I don't know if the interval levels 4 6 8 11 13 14 15 18 and 19 exists, there seems to not be obvious clues for those.

    You're awesome, dude! Then the map does reference to a screen not to an entire room. I assumed it was the room of the pic, but i try many crazy things and nothing happened. It seems crazy to me that you have to carry the entire map in the inventory. Thank you!

    Well for now all the spell seems to do is blast stuff very quickly, I have no idea if there is another use for it and it is a lot more expensive than a destroy target+, so enjoy destroying stuff quickly with it or trying to see if it has another use if you don't mind spending that much gold.

    You are amazing! You helped me put to ease the long unanswered task of trial and error trying to discover what to do with my map. I'm on a quest to collect every item in the game(aside from one time use keys) I didn't even know the rainbow spell existed! You have inspired me to pickup excave again and fill in the few remaining holes in my weapon collection :3

    You do need to bring the book, but since you need it to enter the final level you'll likely have it in your inventory.

    No it only shows where the shown exits and the chests are, you need to test the spots without knowing if it is right and takes a lot of time to find.
