Skyward Sword Playthrough!

I recently began Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and as I cleared the second dungeon, I thought "Why not make a Miiverse log out of it?" So that's what I'm doing.

  • I should have seen this coming, but the volcano erupted during my descent, throwing me against a rock and knocking me unconscious! I awoke in a prison guarded by one of those bokoblins, stripped of all my gear. Time to plan an escape! Oh boy, I'm excited!!

  • Well THAT was fun. In fact, I was slightly disappointed when I got many of my items back with my pouch, because I loved the zero-mission style sneaking around so much! But anyway, new pathways opened up and I found the great fire dragon! He taught me the third part of the song and I was just about ready to return to Levias. But there was ONE more thing I had to do...

  • So I had heard something about an "absurdly strong shield" and I though to myself, "this must be mine!" So I went to my old pal the lightning dragon to chat with him about it. But of course, nothing comes free. I had to earn myself this shield by basically running through many of the bosses I had fought. It was pretty fun, and a lot easier with my sword. I stopped after the 8th battle to claim

My magnificent blue shield riding upon my back, I soared back to Skyloft, where I learned the last piece of the Song of Heroes and faced my final trial... as if I hadn't proven myself already. Give me a break! Well, I completed it with very few

I returned the second eye to the bird statue and watched in awe as it revealed to me the Triforce chamber. A magnificent (upside-down) building descended from beneath the statue of the goddess, and I new it was there I would fulfill my destiny. ...Tomorrow! =P

  • Triforce obtained! That was a pretty fun dungeon, though I've never been good at those slider puzzles. I liked how the keep included the themes of many other dungeons and created new puzzles with old things. I was bad at it, but it was fun!

  • And apparently Demise was crushed beneath us. Hooray for the lack of a final boss! *Gasp* IT'S GHIRAHIM!!! Way to ruin the moment, man!

  • Wow. THAT was fun. An amazing plot twist with the kidnapping of Zelda, the destruction of hordes of bokoblins, an epic battle with the demon lord, then the revival of Demise himself. And, of course, the cliche destruction of the evil servant. But I don't care too much, because Demise is even more awesome. The fiery hair, the pulsing chest... Is he hiring?

  • And after a few words of warning to stay out of his way, he disappeared into another realm where I knew our fated clash would take place. So of course I followed him. I never would have thought a creature of such malice could create a world so serene. An endless ocean would serve as our battleground. "One shall stand, one shall fall." -Optimus Prime

  • Game over Game over Game over Game over Game over Victory! I don't know what I would've done without the Hylian Shield. The was so much blocking in that fight that any other shield would've broken. But that battle was quite fun. But eventually, Demise had to meet his end. Though he left me with a troubling curse: I and any hero that would rise against the powers of darkness would have to

The old lady turned out to be Impa, which I kinda guessed at during her final speech. But unfortunately, time finally overcame her body and the goddess's servant passed into the afterlife. Funny how the little birds can scare people used to the massive loftwings. But the ending as a whole was very sweet and finished off the game pretty well. And then in the credits, it was cool to see some of Zelda's story; her awakening, her purification

I put 50 hours into the game already (some was idle time, so it was probably closer to 40), and I should probably be returning it to the library soon. But let me say, all that time was well spent.

  • So, review time. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was excellent in my opinion. It had a pretty good storyline that always kept me wanting to see what happened next. I had a couple of late nights playing this game. Storytelling was also done pretty well through dialogue. The game handled pretty well, with the motion controls being fairly responsive and accurate. The game provided enough

All of the bosses I can remember were fun and usually made good use of some new weapon I had, like Scaldera with the bombs. Speaking of weapons, they were all pretty fun and practical. Especially the bow. And of course, I never got bored slicing enemies to pieces with the Master Sword.

  • I loved the music in the game. A lot of these Zelda tunes just feel so grand and epic, like the Ballad of the Goddess. And, of course, the people. Metroid's feel of aloneness is pretty cool and fitting for that series, but it was also very fun to interact with other characters, each with their own personality and motives. The main characters were done especially well. I always enjoyed my

And if course the side characters, such as the mogmas and robots, provided their own share of humor. Overall, I loved the game. I never wanted to stop playing it, and usually only stopped when I had to. This was a wonderful introduction
