    In my opinion, I love this game on the PS2; actually, this is one of my favourite games. Should you buy this game for the 3DS? Truthfully, You can find this game for less than ten dollars online for PS2. Buy that first and then figure out for yourself whether or not you want to shill out the 40 bucks.

    Yes, DQ8 it is much much better than DQ7. If it wasn't for DQ8 I wouldn't even be a fan of the series. If you only play one Dragon Quest game it should be this game. The 3DS version has some big advantages over the PS2 version. There are no more random encounters and the alchemy pot works instantaneously.

    DQ7 was my first game in the series and i didn't enjoy it that much this game on the other hand is MUCH MUCH better

    I own all DW/DQ games released in NA, and DQ8-3DS is easily the best. DW3 & DW4 (NES) were my favorites for many, many years. And DQ7 is the worst.
