Sidechat in Minecraft Console

Where the chat messages are, in the left side of the screen? Do you guys think we should be able to chat there, like in PC and PE? Do you think it would handle it?

While it wouldn't be a problem for the Switch/Wii U versions of MC, the other consoles would have problems because you'd have to type everything with a controller which can be annoying.
