can't log in lol

so I went on pokemon sun to try and put in my pgl code for my items... got an error "under maintenance" thing when trying to connect to the internet. ??? no sources indicate there is a maintenance tho? Tried to go into online mode festival... same problem. Anyone else?

    Restart your 3ds. There was maintenance last night, but you need to turn the 3ds off then on again to reconnect to the internet.

    Brady I am referring to the pokemon global mission rewards (for the festival plaza) I was simply noting that this was what I was doing when attempting to access the internet. XD and it worked, thank you Null.
