Happy Canada Day everyone! Today is Canada's 150th birthday! Also for all Newfoundland & Labradorians we remember the battle of Beaumont Hamel during The Battle of the Somme that took place on July 1st, 1916 during the 1st world war! 2017 is it's 101st anniversary! 20,000 British Troops died & 37,000 were wounded! The Royal Newfoundland Regiment lost 324 soldiers, 386 were wounded & only 68 left!
