shiny staryu hunting

i'm so annoyed i trying to get a staryu from ripples on route 7 so i can chane them to get a shiny but there's a 20 percent chance to get one and same with wishywashy (magikcarp is 60) but i got 5 magikcarps and 20 wishwashys

    If you go to the beach with sandyghast, you could find staryu in the sand, and you'll probably find it faster than trying to fish the ripples.

    isacc you have something like 1 in 400 chance of finding a shiny if you fish for it

    i don't think so if you chain fish it's much easyer i know i got a shiny feebass at around my 50

    Well, you can do what you want, but sos chain with a shiny charm does make your odds go from roughly 1 in 4000 to roughly 1 in 300. Again, do what you want.

    Ive found a shiny staryu, but sadly, I traded it for a shiny Exeggutor. The staryu was white, and when it evolved, it was blue.
