    Striker Gunvolt is the REAL successor of Megaman. Shovel Knight is not like Megaman aside of having a retro esthetic and being "difficult", like much of retro games out there.

    Azure Strike Gunvolt is almost nothing like Megaman. It may look like a MM Zero game, but it's gameplay feels very different. Despite the outcome, Mighty No 9 and Mighty Gunvolt series are the closest to a Megaman successor we are getting.

    Sure? Gunvolt is more like MMX/MMZ in terms of gameplay and structure, while Mighty Gunvolt is more like classic MM. Depends on what you're aiming for.

    I can see why IntiCreates is the one making these: In the past they worked along with Capcom for Megaman Zero and ZX series, so i think Inti "swallowed" Capcom's talent in that regard. That could explain the failure of MN9, while Inafune was making "that", the real talent went to Inti.

    Honestly, Mighty Number 9 might be the closest we're ever getting to a new 'Megaman'. Which is a shame, since it... wasn't that... good? Shovel Knight and Azure Striker are similar, but not enough so that you can call one a successor game. Doesn't mean they aren't incredible games, though, because they are.

    MGB is MN9. MN9 is like megaman, if megaman's creators were arrogant and megaman was based 30000% more on talking. and you can't skip it.
