I really how this "rule" ruins not only the fanbase but a game's image
there are people who make completely toxic things, these gives the fanbase the image that everyone who likes the game is like that
and the same people also underestimate the game's potential because of the FANBASE
like Undertale, the Fnaf series, and even BATIM now, and it came out THIS year
