light ball question?

i have an japan Ash hat pikachu but im not 100% sure if the light ball item still affects Pikachu with a cap cause otherwise i plan on using it instead of the light orb util the Z-move is available here or when i have it on a team with a diffrent z-move

    Light ball should still work, it did for cosplay pikachu so there's no reason it wouldn't here Ash chu is weaker than a regular pikachu though, so it's not worth using at all
