Don't know if this is true or not, but online people are saying that Nintendo has been asked about whether Star Fox 1 and 2 are coming to VC since the Snes mini was announced and sadly Nintendo said that it is hard to emulate the Sfx chip for that purpose. Then why is it coming to Snes mini? Probably a sales tactic...though it sounds pretty unlikely we'll ever get them on VC.

    probably a sales tactic. They released Star Fox SNES on wii VC, but pulled it back. They can definitely do it.

    I think that Nintendo can do it. It won't make any sense for them to not release Super FX games including Star Fox 1 and 2 on the VC of the Switch.

    Definitely a sales thing, the SNES Classic would loose a lot of value if its exclusive once canceled game isn't actually exclusive. Expect to see it on Switch in a year or 2.
