I need some tips for the levels you access by holding x on the circles on the ground while you have the book from the last level of area 5 and where to find the map parts AND the mysterious notes.

If you have trouble in a particular deep floor on the first five level my strategy was to bring a destroy target + instead of medecine to deal a ton of damage and 2 of those can wipe out the hardest floors, they rotate in the item shop for 1000 gold, get equipment from the slime floors too you can get good stuff easy. The notes are only for story and not that important.

Map parts are hidden everywhere, some of them you have to redo the floors and bring silver and gold keys to open the locked doors with chests, these keys can be bought in the item shop.

Don't go to the final level before you have some 7 star items and a few good weapons from the deep levels too, the final level is brutal with low gear and learning to use a shield helps a lot. Be careful because even shields can break if you block too much.

I also like to use weapons that can hit a lot of ennemies like katanas or bows, you can often try to defend a corner or hit multiples ennemies in a line with bows. Speed can often be better than power.

Yup final level is the circle where you start, the first 6 floors aren't too difficult and can net you good gear too. The notes don't have much more story than what they tell and say that the grimoire is dangerous like in the ending, they didn't put that much story into this game. I can presume that it is the magician who wrote those.

Do you know about the magic circle on the second floor of the third level (yellow)? It is not that difficult and can be hard to find if you don't test all the blue teleporters on that floor.
