    That's been a thing since Gold/Silver. Being a digital Pokémon, the Porygon line can only evolve through Trade with a specific Held Item. Porygon with an Upgrade becomes Porygon2, then Porygon2 with a Dubious Disk becomes Porygon-Z. Z is corrupted beyond repair...
