Did Wii really got abandoned, as well as the updates?

Wow did Nintendo really abandoned the Wii? Dang I have one right here. Do you guys think Nintendo should put Miiverse and new updates in the Wii so people would chat there too?

    My Wii still works after 6 years! I got when I was 7 years old. I have SMG2, Skyward Sword, Lego Batman, Spetrobes Origins and Ghostbusters, all of which is still working.
