So that was another reason I stared taking art more seriously around that time. I think every artist goes through low moments, slumps and such, and I went through that ALOT. (I still go through it.) I often felt that I'm not improving at all, and I ca't draw anything worthwhile. And it was very sad and depressing. And I would have self doubts and think maybe I'm not cut out to be an artist.

What brought me back was a combination of finding that joy I had as a kid, and the warm support of close friends and family and now many folks I met through miiverse, giving me encouragement. It really helps a great deal. And it means a lot to me that someone out there would take a time out of their day to view (and hopefully enjoy) my artwork.

I understand very well that there is no reason for someone to take the time out of their busy day to view my work, so I know what a privilege it is. And so I try not to take it for granted, and put my best effort to continue to create. And yes! I did get accepted into art college.

My biggest inspirations for my artwork are my favorite games, both from childhood and current day, my memories about those games. Then it's all the amazing artists I look upto, including all the great artists on miiverse! I strive to learn and incorporate different elements of my favorite artists into my own work. My favorite fast food is ramen! :)

Hmm about landscapes, I'm not the best person to ask tips about, but I'll share a few things that I do. First, as with everything else, I think it's important to go out and look at scenery in real life, and sketch them. Drawing is seeing first, then drawing second. So it's important to see. Then I try to draw landscapes in a simple manner, where I'm only indicating things.

I found that going bold helps. what I mean by that is, try to avoid shading as much as possible and push the contrast for a strong silhouette.

My dream job I think would be to work as an artist for a team that strives for a cause greater than myself. My hobbies are playing games, listening to music and going for a walk and drives. For anyone who is struggling emotionally and mentally as an artist, I would like to just share that 'Please don't give up.' I understand how hard it can be at times. I was a terrible drawer when I started;

It is natural to not be good at something that you haven't done. If you keep at it you will improve, and will be able to do things that you thought you could never do. It's happened to me so I know that it's possible for others too. Oh and one more thing is, tr not to listen and be swayed by the 'outside noise.' And try to listen to your inner voice. This helped me a great deal. :)

My favorite color is Red, though I'm not good at using them in my artwork.. I can't name one favorite band or songs, there's too many I love, but I do like listening to video game ost when I'm working on a drawing. My favorite movie is: Castle in the Sky, a 1986 Studio Ghibli film!

I have so many artists on miiverse that are my favorites, but if I had to pick my top 3, it would be Foosuke, Michael, and Moko. I just love all of their work. If I had to choose one artist, it would be Foosuke. For the simple fact that he's drawn my favorite miiverse drawing. Also, his sense if composition, storytelling and variety in contents is just incredible. :)

I don't have one favorite animal, I like them all in their own ways.. I am pretty fond of cats though. :) What brings me back to miiverse is that I love doing miiverse art. And I love interacting with friends who I met via miiverse. For me miiverse art is special, because it has a sense of purity: the primitve tools and small screen make it very difficult to draw on. Because of that,

drawing on miiverse gives me an exhilarating sense of joy that's not quite the same with other medium (and I draw on computer with professional software as well as traditional medium. They're fun too of course in their own ways.) So I hope to continue the journey on miiverse to constantly challenge myself.
