Forgot to mention I've participated in two MK8D World Cup matches for Team UK. They've been okay, I guess. However I'd say your placement is 90% based on items, unfortunately. So basically you can have one war where you score over 100 points, or one where you get 60. It's just such an inconsistent process, at least on my point of view anyway.

I wouldn't even call them competitve when races are so reliant on item luck. Like, why call it a race when the game is pretty much preventing you from entering 1st? May as well call it "Who can last the longest without getting caught within a massacre?". Seems a lot more accurate.
