    When I'm A) at home B) not swamped with grown-up responsibilities and C) not desperately trying to catch up on progress with other games. I'll hopefully have some time this weekend, after which I'm far away from home again for a number of weeks. I'm going to take my Switch along which will leave a chance for drawing this weekend. I hope.

    Ah. Didn't know that was a thing. We don't usually do turtle-like pets here in South Africa. Sometimes someone would keep a tortoise in their yard. Usually illegally. But I surely haven't seen food for them in any of our pet stores.

    Our pets' names are all over the place. We try to call them something meaningful My brother has a cat named Shinobi because she had mad ninja skills as a teeny tiny kitty - I even had video evidence on my 3DS of her apparently teleporting. Her sister's (my cat's) name is Phantom because a pattern on her face looks a bit like a Phantom of the Opera mask.

    We also have a cat named Blou kat ("Blue cat") because when she was little her fur was a bright grey (if that makes any sense) that almost looked blue. Then we have Papkat ("Limp/Flat/Saggy cat") who had a virus when she was little that prevented her from growing. She's fully functional but she's amazingly tiny, skinny as a twig and feels limp when you pick her up.

    Not a real life animal but my favourite nickname for a Pokemon is Treif the Tepig. Treif is Yiddish for "nonkosher"

    It's possible to get pet squids in the U.S. but I am not sure I would want one because of their short lifespan. It will be too sad. I would name it after one of the popstars though. Octopuses are also possible to get as pets, even surprisingly the blue ringed octopus, so Marina as a pet would be possible too.
