Gray Levels

I got every KONG letter in world 1 and neither of these levels opened up. Do I have to get all of the puzzle pieces too? What do I need to do?????

You have to find a secret exit in one of the other levels to unlock the level below DK in the screenshot. Once you collect the KONG letters there, the temple level above DK will be unlocked.
