    Speaking about that, There was something that really got stuck in my head, Splatoon 2 takes place 2 years after the last splatfest right. Then in the trailer for the story mode they say that no one remembers about the squid sisters. So does that mean everyone easily forgot about them or do they have really bad memory.

    Well that depends they could have forgotten about then since when splatoon was released/announced in a trailer the inklings like to to change or modernize a lot, so the plot for splatoon 2 is that after the manager of both Callie and Marie didn't hear a word from the two, he\she decided to get new and fresh idols that met today's generation.
