    When in doubt, shield up (Wooden if he throws ballots of electricity your way). It will cause him to recoil if he tries to rush you, which leaves him open to having his shield broken by your weapon which leaves him further open. Or get a good read on his Rush and dodge at the right time for a Flurry Rush.

    Second phase, he can't be touched thanks to the electricity and summons spikes to call lightning down upon them. They must be metallic though. Perhaps you could give him a taste of his own medicine if you position a spike just right...

    Alright, thanks! That should prove VERY useful when I attempt defeating him again. I assumed that there was something that had to do with the electricity... but I didn't have much time to try different things.

    yeah, ganondorf is a tough fight when you fight him in hyrule castle and you have to shoot him with arrows while riding your horse
