why cant they just make splatoon 2 for the wii U?!

Because Nintendo has the Switch now they have stopped making games for the Wii U. Third party companies can still make games for the Wii U like Just Dance but Nintendo themselves will no longer make games for the Wii U

NO COZ THEY MADE POKEMON SUN AFTER WII U WAS RELEASED. ANYWAY SPLATOON 2 WAS RELEASED AFTER THE NINTENDO SWITCH'S ARRIVAL AND THERE ISNT MUCH GAMES ON THERE.

Because that would require Nintendo to reverse develop a game (that was made for a specific hardware) for a dying console.

It is because Wii U is a dying console and if your favourite game is on switch it will make you want to buy it. Such as Splatoon 2 Nintendo only want money.
