    Shame you did not shoot the Dragon once. You need one scale from each dragon, and 2 of the horns for a special tunic.

    No. Defenses are passive. They are to block the "unworthy".

    Anyway, first shot is always a scale. Afterwards, whatever you hit is what you get. You may only get one item per Dragon in a single sitting. A single sitting is defined as the entire encounter of the Dragon before it disappears.
