    that's not how overtime works. If you are in lead in RAINMAKER and enter overtime that means the other team has the RM splat the one holding the RM before they overpass your lead points to stop the overtime. Tower control is similar to RM. if you're ahead but other team gets the tower overtime continues till they pass your point lead. splat people on the tower and jump on it to end the game.

    with splat zones if the other team gets the zone but your team has the lead then overtime will start. it will continue till they pass your lead points. to stop that you must take back the zone from them. if you're on a map with 2 zones (moray towers, port mackerel, flounder heights) you onlu need to control one zone to end overtime. hope this helps you in the future!
