I saw this game in the Nintendo shop around two years ago and passed it up for Shovel Knight. I just bought this game last night. Every punch is so satisfying, and I can't begin to describe how good the throws feel!

  • I was in the same boat as you not too long ago, ultimately I went for this game and haven't looked back. How do you think Shovel Knight is compared to this?

  • I revisited the game to better answer your question. Shovel Knight focuses more on platforming than combat, and the boss battles are fast paced like Flameface. While I feel weaker and slower without a dodge button and the ability to throw most enemies around like dolls, I see that as part of the game's charm. Each stage is like a small mountain to overcome. Definitely a test of patience.

  • Out of curiousity, what made you go for Guacamelee?
