The next part of the game is very weird. You'll basically go through three new worlds and the four previous worlds at random times, completing short quests that lead up to the final boss.

Ehh... the three new worlds aren't as long as the first four. They're mainly just filled with tougher enemies and bosses. Plus, you only advance through them in sections as opposed to doing them completely one at a time.
