Just two questions before I go. Can you go back to Miitopia from the Otherworld before the final battle? AND! Does the final battle begin immediately after you enter?

To answer your questions, the battle doesn't start immediately. It happens once you enter the LAST stage of the Otherworld, which is the final battle. Yes, you can go back to Miitopia before the final battle.
