新津駅に到着。本当は新潟まで行っても時間的には問題なかったのだが、この後の磐越西線は確実に座っておきたいのと、リアルに空腹が限界だったから、新津で降りて90分待つことにした。食後に売店で柿の種買って食べました。ツクモ辛いの苦手じゃなかったか？？小袋だけど自分は半分で一旦やめた。持ち歩いてた2Lの麦茶がどんどんなくなる。辛いけど、ホームを吹き抜ける新潟の風が心地よかったです。

途中、上越線で一緒に乗ってた小学生の集団が亀田の柿の種を開けて食べてた。電車内で柿の種は勘弁してほしいところではあるが、新津駅と新潟駅の中間に亀田駅があるのに気付いた。そうか、ここの柿の種のことか。新潟まで来なくても全国で買えるじゃないかとかは、流石に野暮か。
