So I managed to beat 7 of the bosses in this area by spamming the Safe Spot usage (using no sprinkles). Good thing Austyn has barrier so I wouldn't risk having to waste any shield sprinkles here. So now all I need to do is the Dark Sun rematch, and then I'll go to the Tower of Dread
