    Well the Jellies seem to do a lot more like dirt-biking, rock climbing, swimming, painting, etc.

    They posted a few pages on it. It boils down to the fact that you see jellies doing all sorts of things around town, but never Inklings. Inklings get paid to battle or otherwise entertain (like Callie and Marie). Despite being pop stars, even Callie and Marie can't afford to live in Flounder Heights, but the jellies can. And they aren't even very nice apartments.
